I may be a Portuguese Podengo, but I’m an American patriot dog.
I love the freedom I have now. It’s been a long learning curve. Grandma rarely has to correct me, which really impresses those who know my history.
A long time ago, I was in double jeopardy when I had to wear the Blue Sock along with the shock collar. Where I come from, it’s a felony to massacre chickens.
Life is good now. Once I came around to Grandma’s way of thinking, I have more freedom than ever without getting in trouble.
I have the freedom to love…
I have the freedom to work…
Freedom to protect what’s mine…
Freedom to choose my friends…
Freedom to play…
On the farm, we celebrated our country’s Declaration of Independence with a lot of flag waving, dogs and cows.
The greatest freedom is when you can just be yourself and others love you still, even when it’s messy.
That’s what Grandma and I are all about.
Our country is so beautiful because of the freedom we uphold and enjoy.
Grandma and I wrapped up the day with watermelon and singing “America.”
God bless America, her people and especially her dogs!
Petey, You made some really good points about freedom. Thank you.
Sounds like you had a fun filled day Petey and Grandma. I love you both. jimmi and Edgar.
